Day 68 - Para skiing

Another attraction along Highway 20 is para skiing. We saw the colourful sails from the highway and figured this was another photo op not to be missed. The skiing takes place on a huge open field. The field was filled with people of a variety of skill levels and ages. I parked the car on the side of the road and took pictures. I'm not sure how the skiers were staying warm because after about 3 minutes outside I had very cold red cheeks(both sets) and was ready to seek the warmth of the car.

That looks like fun, but too cold for me!

Looks like great fun...and watching it from the inside of a heated car might be the best of both worlds! :)

Looks like great fun for the younger more agile generation. My knees would be rather stiff with cold, I'm afraid!

Wow! I've seen people do this with snowboards...but not skis.

I was once snowshoeing on Lake Memphramagog and saw some people trying this out. Not for me, but I am sure they found it exhilarating. I'm with you - photograph it. It's colourful, but that's as close to trying it I'll get.
