Day 68 - Para skiing

Another attraction along Highway 20 is para skiing. We saw the colourful sails from the highway and figured this was another photo op not to be missed. The skiing takes place on a huge open field. The field was filled with people of a variety of skill levels and ages. I parked the car on the side of the road and took pictures. I'm not sure how the skiers were staying warm because after about 3 minutes outside I had very cold red cheeks(both sets) and was ready to seek the warmth of the car.

Day 308 - Bad Banana

This may look like a slug but it's a rotting Dole banana. It caught my eye while I was walking through the field. I think it's in pretty good shape for being rotten. Hopefully as it decomposes it'll give it's nutrients to the earth because the kid who chucked it definitely didn't benefit from its potassium.

Day 192 - Grass-y Hopper

Being from Saskatchewan, grasshoppers are childhood friends. They are not usually as predominant in Quebec City but this year with the dry weather, they have come out in abundance. I captured this fella while walking the dogs at the farm using my zoom lens. I love the detail of his markings and the way his colours blend into the surroundings.
