Day 364 - Mystery Macro

Played with my macro lens this evening. Peg found all kinds of things around the house for me to try. I took a couple of pics of the object above but I like this one best. What do you think it is? I'll give you a hint. It's not usually red but silver. I deflected part of the flash with my hand (high tech, eh?) and this is the colour I got. Do you need any other hints? Okay, I'll give you one more. This object is usually found in the kitchen. So....?

A grater?

(interesting how your hand gave it the red color!)

Aren't you ladies clever? Yes, it is in fact a grater. I guess I shouldn't have given the kitchen hint.

Yep, I guessed a grater too but would not have had any idea without your hints. Fun guessing game!

Until the kitchen hint which made me think of a grater as well, my first thought was Christmas jingle bells evenly dispersed or glued onto something like Xmas paper. You are too generous with your hints! This is fun. Your pictures are amazing. Happy New Year to you and Peg. Sharon R.xx
