Day 66 - Got mail?

Another incredibly snowy day. I promise never to complain about the lack of snow again. Today's theme is red. Red hot? Red paint? Or something else? You decide. I thought that red would contrast nicely with all the snow outside. I took our mailbox stamp holder and put it on the deck. Fewer and fewer people actually use mailboxes and stamps but sometimes it nice to receive a letter that's been hand delivered. Yes, it costs more and it's most definitely slower but somehow it seems more personal.
It was still snowing but I was able to set the camera up close enough to the house so it was safe. I know mail is supposed to be delivered no matter the weather but I think the only mail we'll be getting today is e-mail.

Email is good on snowy days...you don't even have to go out to the mailbox! :)

I love this splash of red and the way it contrasts with the stark white snow!

Stay warm! :)

Such a cute stamp holder! I like how it looks against the snow. As for too much snow, somebody sent me a sign posted outside of a church. It said "whoever is praying for snow, please stop!".

You are right. It IS nice to receive a real letter in the mail. This is such a cute shot. The red contrast is terrific.
